3 Minute Thesis

The College of Graduate Studies held it's third annual 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) on January 23rd, 2024. 3MT originated at the University of Queensland (Australia) in 2008 and is now an international success. The competition cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. Each participant must effectively explain their research in three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. Students can use one static slide in the background - no animation or video.

The winner of the College of Graduate Studies 3MT competition goes on to represent CGS at the regional competition.
